Some important information about tile fitting:
(If you have questions or comments, please comment.)
Things to do before laying tiles:
Checking:
First of all, you have to check whether the work of sanitary, electric, gas line, wiring, TV, internet line, door frame etc. has been completed or whether there is any problem?
Cleaning:
Then by chipping with the basula, all the loose dirt from the floor should be removed and cleaned with a wire brush and broom. In particular, before installing skirting / wall tiles, algae or loose mortar should be removed from the wall and cleaned with a wire brush with water.
Watering spraying:
The floor or wall should be wetted one day before the start of tile work so that it does not absorb the mortar water. However, the wall should be kept light and a little dry, otherwise it will be difficult to hold the tiles while laying.
Procedure: -
Level pipes or level machines from the floor of stairs or elevators should be used to mark the level in the rooms of units or flats, then check how much mortar is required in a room and fix a top level for all the rooms so that from that particular level to all places. The same size is available up to the top of the tiles.
In case of wall tiles, work should be started from the bottom by measuring from the top of the wall, leveling and vertical shale, if there is a short pitch, it should be given from the bottom.
If the door is sealed, you can take the ring level in a separate flat, but the level of the toilet will be different from the room, making sure that there is at least 1/2 ”space under the door frame.
Combination ratio: -
Floor tiles 1: 4 to 1: 3
াল Wall tiles 1: 3 to 1: 2
Tiles Surface Leveling:
To check the elevation of the tiles, try to know by hand the joints of the four tiles whether any tiles are high or low.
To understand the up / down in a joint, hold a tile vertically in any joint, see if it matches the two tiles, or if one matches the other, is it empty from the other?
You can also check the tiles level with the spirit level, if it is a large spirit level, you can check the level of more than one tile at a time.
If you want to check the level of a large area, you can check with gauze or yarn. Take a straight yard of 8 feet, press it against the floor, if the floor is level, there will be no space under the yard, if there is space, you will understand that the tile is not laid properly.
If you want to check with the yarn, set two tiles at a distance of 10 feet, then hold the yarn 5 mm above those two tiles and hold it, you will see for yourself which is higher and which is higher.
Laying tiles:
First you have to make four legs in the four corners of the room, then you have to put the tie from any one side keeping in line with the level of the legs, if you need a short pitch, you have to put it on the edge. It would be best to place a row of tiles on all three sides of the room and place the middle tiles accordingly. Make sure that there is no gap of more than 2/3 mm between each tile and the corners of the tiles are at the same level.
In the case of wall tiles, first you have to lay one line of tiles at the bottom by shallowing and leveling vertically, then you have to slowly move upwards keeping in line with the feet. Care should be taken to ensure that the ties are level horizontally, and that the corner tiles should be V-cutting [#chos]. At the end of the work, the tiles have to be cleaned and removed. Ceramic tiles must be sufficiently wetted before work.
Curing:
In case of curing, it would be better if the floor can be cured by dipping it in water, because the tiles do not absorb water easily as it is impermeable, in that case the water should be applied to the joints in such a way that it reaches inside.
Pudding: -
At the end of the curing period, after drying, the joints should be thoroughly cleaned and pudded to match the color of the tiles, and after pudding, #curing should also be done. The pudding should be pressed well so that it can penetrate inside.
Caution and Warning: -
Grouting:
If you use dry mortar, make sure that the liquid grouting that is applied to the spice after dressing allows it to penetrate all over the mortar. Make some holes / cuts in the dry mortars to reach the bottom of the grout, but make sure there is no air inside.
Space:
There is no need for space inside the room, but keep at least 1/2 ”of space in the veranda and toilet so that water can drain easily, all the while keeping them dry at all times.
Waste: -
Waste is a little too much for tile work, but try to keep it within 7%. Do not walk on tiles during work, do not let the tiles hit without a rubber hammer. In the case of wall ties, check the level so that the surrounding tiles are at the same level, making sure that there is no more than 1/2 ”gap in the top. If there is a difference in color, separate it, use a tile cutting machine for cutting.
